Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how Threadship handles information for business users and organizations using the service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect account information such as names, email addresses, organization details, authentication identifiers, and workspace settings.

We also process shipment-related content that authorized users submit or connect to Threadship, including messages, documents, attachments, tasks, notes, collaborators, and operational metadata.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and secure the service, organize shipment records, enable collaboration, generate requested AI-assisted outputs, support users, troubleshoot issues, and improve Threadship.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand usage patterns and improve product reliability and workflow quality.

3. AI Processing

Threadship uses OpenAI's API to generate AI-assisted outputs such as document extraction and summarization. Customer content submitted for AI processing may be sent to OpenAI for that purpose.

Based on OpenAI's published business-data terms, OpenAI does not use API business data to train its models by default. We do not use customer shipment content to train our own models without the organization's explicit permission.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell customer data. We share information only as needed to operate Threadship, comply with law, protect rights and security, or with your organization's direction.

Service providers may include cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, document processing, and AI infrastructure providers that process information on our behalf.

Organizations that require a data processing agreement may contact us to discuss available contracting options.

5. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Threadship, meet business and legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support backup or audit requirements.

Organizations may contact us regarding deletion or export requests. We evaluate those requests subject to technical limits, legal requirements, and backup retention practices.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration.

No online service can guarantee absolute security, so organizations should configure access carefully and ensure users handle sensitive shipment and partner information appropriately.

7. International Processing

Threadship and its service providers may process information in countries where infrastructure, support, or personnel are located, including the United States. Those countries may have data protection laws different from where your organization is based.

8. Choices and Controls

Organizations control which users are invited, which groups are created, and what shipment information is submitted to Threadship.

Users may submit applicable requests relating to access, correction, export, or deletion through their organization administrator or by contacting [email protected].

9. Updates and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as Threadship evolves, our providers change, or legal requirements develop. The updated date will reflect the latest version.

Questions about privacy or data handling can be directed to [email protected].
